A Chinese company, DS Dolls, is now manufacturing sex robots with opposite-sex genitals (male robots with vaginas and female robots with penises). The company offers a vast selection of life-size robotic sex dolls that can cost you up to $4,000. The superior class of the sex robots comes with animatronics including a talking head as well genitals that can be customized to the liking of the client.
The Chinese company produces both male and female bodies but in a design that allows for easy customization and swapping of the genitals. The company offers both flaccid and erect penises and three types of vagina inserts, customizable genital hair, and an optional anus. The company argues that its efforts are aimed at meeting the needs of the vast market in an industry that seems to have been dominated by female sex dolls targeting heterosexual men.
According to the company, they only produce transgender sex robots and sell the vagina and penis as attachments that can be used to customize the already bought sex robot. The company also seeks to clear the stigma around the sex doll industry adding that the dolls were not any different from other sex toys.
According to Beaumont Society’s Dr. Jane Hamlin, there’s no reason for someone to purchase any type of sex doll most specifically, the transgender sex doll. She says she does not think the sex robots would inspire the respect for the bravery that the transgender people portray in their everyday life.
The Chinese company, however, maintains that their main driver in producing transgender sex robots was to clear the belief that they are only meant for men.
