Sex Robots with Human Skin

Two biomedical scientists from the University of Oxford have stated in a recent publication that is possible for robots to be built with real human tissue.  They say that the technology to do this already exists if we only choose to develop it.

The pair of researchers, Pierre-Alexis Mouthuy and Andrew Carr further state that humanoid robots could be the exact solution the medical community needs to create muscle and tendon grafts that actually work.

Their research focuses more on the medical possibilities but it does not take too much brain power to extrapolate the implications this could have for the sex robot industry.  This is early indication that one day we will see robots with real human skin, muscles, tissue and tendons.

The idea behind this research is that although it is currently possible to grow human cells in a laboratory, this muscles in a petri dish.  They are basically useless if doctors were to graft them into human bodies.  The petri dish environment “fails to mimic the real mechanical environment for cells.”  For a human body to be able to use lab grown muscle, tendon or tissue we will need a growing environment that will grow while being stretched and moved around on a lifelike skeleton.

Growing muscles, skin or tendons on a robotic skeleton will allow for transplants of lab-grown flesh into real human beings, and because of that, we will have sex robots with real human skin!

Here’s a video that shows how a robotic skeleton designed to grow human flesh may look and function:
